What? I need to know more!
32 pages isn’t enough! What’s going on? I need to know more!
I have so many unanswered questions. Who’s in the lake? What’s going to happen with the school performance? Is Porcupine going to come home?
Agghhhh!
I loved this book from the page, the author has been really clever with the character building and drawing in the reader from the get go.
I love that it’s based in Ireland, such an in-vocative landscape within which to base a novel.
There are quite a lot of characters introduced within a short space of time, but given that I’ve only read a short section I did have to jump back a page to remind myself of who someone was. I suspect if I had the whole novel that would be different.
The author has done a fantastic job with this manuscript, and I can honestly say I’d love to read the whole book, and (hopefully) have all of my questions answered.
