Daisy is a modern girl living in London. While she appears to be winning in the job department her love life is most definitely of loser status. The girl just can't seem to land herself a man, but that may be because she's suffering from a digital obsession. Daisy spends more time on her phone in this opening chapter than off it. Driving the point home are the updates at the top of the chapters telling you how long it's been since she last used it. Every part of Daisy's life seems to feature her phone, so much so that she often has to convinces herself she hasn't got a problem. The story intends to follow Daisy's journey to love after she gives up her phone, which I can imagine after reading the opening chapter will be a major hardship. While this was well written and engaging, Daisy wasn't especially likeable, but that may just be the point so that when she finally puts the phone down her personality shines! However, more time will tell.
