I wasn't expecting literary perfection when beginning It Started with a Tweet so honestly I'm not surprised that this has only got a 3/5 from me. I knew it would be a light hearted chick-lit that I could listen to while on my walks and yeah, it was nice.
The story was sweet and made me laugh. It's also made me question how much time I spend on social media. Yet I also thought it was ridiculous. Why did Rosie lie? That I didn't get. Why didn't Daisy just confront Jack? Why was Alexis...well, Alexis?
Also, I have a complete disdain for millennials in books. Sorry I'm a gen Z gal. It's just annoying to hear a 30-something go on about the 90s and their phone and how even though they have a steady London office job and a good group of friends, they don't have the perfect life. Like cmon. Do you not realise how pretentious that sounds?
It was cute, but I would't buy my own copy (I borrowed an audiobook version from my library)
