After reading 'The good girlfriends guide to getting even' I sought out more books by Anna Bell. I really liked her easy writing style and the fun and unique plotlines using modern technology. 'It started with a tweet' is a story about Daisy Hobson. Unfortunately Daisy has had a mishap using twitter and finds herself reluctantly in a remote cottage in Cumbria on a digital detox.

The storyline is very relevant. A lot of us are glued to our phones and social media all day every day and I'm sure a lot of readers can easily relate to Daisy and her struggle whilst on the digital detox. I wondered if I could survive a digital detox and it definitely had me thinking about my phone use. This is a fun lighthearted read with fun characters. I immediately liked Daisy, she has relatable flaws and feels like she could be someone we all know in real-life. Without her phone distracting her, Daisy learns many lessons during her detox. Daisy and Jack couldn't be more opposite and that's why I enjoy the interactions between them.

I loved the book cover and I would definitely have picked this up off the shelf. The author's easy writing meant that I got through this entertaining book in one sitting. Overall this is a witty, heartwarming and refreshing read. I would recommend to anyone who has a digital addiction!
