So very cleverly written! There is a line in the book that is repeated a couple of times and it is "you only see what you want to see". That line could not be any truer! Not only in this book but in life in general. All the way through the story, the author is guiding you along, planting clues here and there, making you believe one thing, when all along it is something else entirely.
Georgina (Geo) has covered up an awful crime. 14 years later she is found guilty and is given a 5yr sentence in prison. At the same time Calvin, Geo's ex boyfriend is also found guilty for the same crime and multiple others, and is sentenced to life in prison. Calvin escapes and goes on the run. 5 years later Geo is released and returns home. Geo wants nothing more than to move on from the past, but will the past let her?
An amazing read, had me hanging on an edge right up until the very end.
