I was really drawn in by the premise of this book as it didn't seem like your usual thriller. I enjoyed the first few chapters and was really looking forward to getting stuck into the rest of the book and I was definitely not disappointed
I really like the way this novel moves backwards and forwards between present day and the past, so that you are gradually piece together how the characters have come to the point they are at. This made the pacing flow really well and you really become invested in the characters and want to see how it all pans out!
There is a twist which I didn't see coming and I thought it was well done, although I felt the epilogue wrapped it up a little too neatly. But that's a small niggle.
I've not read anything by this author before but will look out for other offerings!
