For a relatively short book, this packs a punch. It’s a bit more gory and graphic than I’d typically choose so bits of it were quite uncomfortable.
The characters were all pretty horrid and by the end, they were all on my last nerve. The abbreviation of Geo for Georgina was jarring as heck. I couldn’t quite get past that. Kaiser was a total wet wipe. The dad was probably the most absent parental figure ever. Everyone just kinda sucked.
The reason I bumped this rating down was the ending: I cannot stand this HaViNg a BaBy FiXeS My LiFe nonsense and after seeing what her genes created in Dominic, surely Georgina should have had the self awareness to keep herself out of the gene pool. Also Kaiser is also a total wetwipe - what kind is lunatic gets involved with a convicted murderer just because he was hung up on her in high school. Move on and get some self esteem. Yikes!
