When looking on this website last week I saw this cover and immediately, I couldn't wait to read the preview. Something about the cover of this novel made me instantly attracted to it, maybe it was the gloomy silhouette or the bluely tones, who knows? Also the phrase "They Think He's Dead, They're Wrong" is one which caught my attention.

Now let's talk about the preview of the book itself. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how amazing that first chapter was? When reading it I was on the edge of my seat, glued to my screen and I just didn't want to focus on anything else. The way it was written was so simplistic, not much details and mostly made up of simple and compound sentences. Yet this was very effective. Personally I really liked the one liners: 'But she can't move.' 'Can't speak'. They built up this intense atmosphere which just made me wanted to read on, so I did...

The characters are really likeable and I personally feel like I can relate to something in each one. The chapters aren't that long and I enjoy this, as I find sometimes long chapters in books can become tiring. Yet this isn't what happens with Kill Me Twice. Each chapter is left on a cliff hanger, after finding out more or small pieces of information. This makes the novel seems very fast-paced, but in a good way. It means that you want to keep reading on, which once again led me to be on the edge of my seat.

Normally when I review these extract I read a chapter, than write about it. However with this one all I could do was read on. Angelica's story is interesting and it's hard to tell if she's truthful just yet. I do believe she is desperate for justice, but at the same time is she just doing this for her a daughter sake? Also the ending with the jacket has left me wondering, is Morgan's daughter giving the inmates stuff and working with Duke? It doesn't add up, all these questions and not enough chapters. I just want to read on and find out, unravel this tale.

Therefore I'm going to give this novel extract 5 stars. This novel seems very addicting and gripping, and I for one cannot wait to read more of this. What a brilliant first three chapters!
