I really enjoyed Kill Me Twice. Although the second book in the Morgan Vine series, I haven't read the first and didn't feel that I had any huge gaps or couldn't fully enjoy this in any way.

Angelica is in prison for murdering her ex boyfriend Karl Savage. His remains were identified by serval experts leading to her conviction.

Yet when he turns up alive and full of vengeance at her door, she is compelled to help Angelica gain her freedom.

This book is entirely character driven, which is a really interesting and original take on a crime book.

Morgan has a deep mistrust of men because of her past, yet she fails to realise how badly she treats men in return.

Lissa, Morgan's daughter isn't particularly likeable. She is spoilt, rude and acts like a sullen teenager, but adds a huge layer and depth in the story.

There is one almighty twist in this book that I genuinely didn't see coming.

The end leaves a hole wide open for another book and future developments. I for one can't wait to read the next instalment!
