Mixed feelings
I did enjoy this book quite a lot but I did have mixed feelings about it. The premise is quite a good one. Journalist who investigates cases where she thinks there's been a miscarriage of justice and tries to get them reviewed. I haven't read the first one in this series so the main character, Morgan, and her daughter, Lisa, are new to me.
In this one Morgan is investigating the case of a woman who's in prison for murdering her partner, Karl, in a fire. He's also the father of her baby, who's also in prison with her for the time being. Needless to say Karl is a bad 'un and Morgan discovers he's still alive but she can't get the police to believe her.
The story is not a bad one at all as it involves villains running a baby farm in the women's prison by way of a change! However I did find some parts a little silly and Morgan and her daughter weren't my favourite characters in literature. They could both be quite annoying, particularly Lissa.
I would read more in this series but if they continue to be as annoying probably wouldn't stick with them for too long.
