Absolutely incredible; a story of corruption, manipulation, child abuse and murder with fire being a key ingredient.
A bit of a slow burner (pun absolutely intended), the twists and turns the story takes are immense, and the various plot elements rich and detailed and clearly have had a lot of thought put in to them.
There were very few areas that felt lacking; characters were relatable, detailed and likeable for all the right reasons, and any antagonistic characters genuinely make the reader hate them.
Once the initial slow start is complete, things develop very quickly in an a manner akin to a rollercoaster and I genuinely found myself open mouthed on more than one occasion thanks to revelations being revealed.
