I've been getting more into crime books over the last year and this one has a different tone to what I'm used to and it's a welcome change. The cover is striking and simple, one that I think works well in this case. I like the debate of ethics within this book and following Michael's thoughts and feelings around his wife's death. This is definitely a book that I'm going to read and one that I think my partner will ultimately read as well. The pacing is odd, which works for this type of novel and the style. A book to keep you up at night, unable to put it down.
