I'm instantly intrigued by the unique style of writing; the narrative jumps between the character's thoughts in his head, to events that have happened, to his conversations. Sometimes it is confusing, but it adds to the sense of hopeless heartbreak and emotional decline that the character so obviously feels. I don't normally read books of this genre, but I'd love to read this one.
