Wow! This grips you in literally the first paragraph! I wanted to read all of the First Impression but only read a tiny bit because I didn't want to spoil any more for myself! I really would love to read the rest of it. You already feel like you 'know' Michael and can sympathise with his thoughts and feelings in trying to come to terms with the death of his wife in a terrible and tragic event. For a debut novel this shows great, great promise!
