Kill (Redacted) is the first novel by Anthony Good.
It’s in the form of a diary written by Michael, a retired Headteacher, who lost his wife in a terrorist attack on a London train. This devastated him as he idolised his wife and perhaps she encouraged the best of him.
He can’t come to terms with his grief and blames not the bombers but the politician who set policies in motion which had such an awful impact abroad.
This diary sets out his case for committing murder. It draws on his experience of discipline and punishment formed while teaching and a short time in the police.

I found the redacted prose off putting but it was well written and surprisingly good for a first novel. I enjoyed it more than I expected.
