This book began with a writing style that I am not particularly familiar with. It took the form of letters or journal entries for the main characters therapist to read. At first I found this a little jarring but soon became accustamed to this style and rather enjoyed it. It then progressedbinto more standard prose as we met the xharater of his daughter, a petulant and angry teenager. This is written in first person point of view which I am not generally keen on but it does give a closer more personal insight into what our main character is feeling, and this was really helped to showthe grief that the main character is feeling since the death of his wife. After reading this I really want to read more and discover more about the characters and where this story may lead. I am definately intrigued!
