This book was messed up. In a good way (?) During multiple parts of the story, I was truly disgusted by the character and his thoughts. I loved how the writer structured this novel, with 'self expressions', notes, and memories, all to develop the characters and plot. I love how the politicians name was redacted throughout the novel, as it added to a sense of reality to the story, making it even more difficult to read (a positive, given the content of the book). It also made me even more curious about the characters motives, and why he thought it was the right thing to do, making the sections where he writes about moral ambiguity all the more interesting, even if I disagreed with his conclusions.
