Very disappointing. I thought this was going to be fast paced, on the edge of your seat, exciting. The plot was in place, different and with apparent potential but I found it a chore, not a pleasure to read. I found myself skimming lots of pages so I could get it over with. Alexis had a very unusual occupation, a husband, a baby which, apparently, she loved. There was no depth to the characters, no feeling in the words; felt like I was reading about cardboard cutouts.
There was lots of movement, action but even after I had read half the book I still had no feeling for Alexis, her baby or her husband. I think this plot/topic had the potential to make exciting reading but sadly the way it is written - kills it!
