I want to start this review by saying that I really did try with this book. Whenever I read a book I always read it with an open mind. I thought that from the excerpt I read of this book that it would be a pretty decent read and it was that, decent, average, good but not great. I have not read any of the other books in this series and whilst I could pick up what was happening and what had happened in previous novels I still found it hard to get on board with the bizarre and unrealistic predicaments that the characters find themselves in. The events in the book are totally unbelievable and I didn't find any of the characters interesting. I couldn't connect with any of them personally.
This book lacks depth in character and lacks anything special in terms of plot. This book was certainly not for me.
