This little book is really poignant, charming and a delightful read. Following the messy divorce case of the Hart’s, their dog, a handsome pup called Sherman takes centre stage. Everyone who meets him, loves him.
Sarah Baynard, the lawyer, ends up representing the dog and being the one who has to make the decision about where he should live and how visits should be organised. However, this doesn’t go as smoothly as she would like.
After an explosive court room setting with her ex husband, she ends up becoming the guardian for the dog. Here Sherman has exactly the same effect on her as he does with everyone he ever meets. By the end of the book, everything seems to have resolved itself and Sherman, feeling the love from everyone, also serves as the one who fixes all the problems.
A cute little read for an afternoon that everyone will enjoy. Full of heart!
