I'm not sure how to feel about this one?
I think its always tricky to comment on a character when I've only really seen them/got to know them for 30 pages, but I'm not sure that Lily is my usual cup of tea in protagonists.
The story does feel very real though. All the characters are flawed in some way, they interact with each other believably, I understand their motives.
So maybe just because this snippet isn't quite what I usually go for, doesn't mean I wouldn't like the rest.
