Being a senior, I guess I am probably not in the age-range that this book is aimed at! However, the cult of the celebrity is one that has been constantly in our headlines in recent years.
Social media, TV and film, magazines and newspapers are all obsessed with looks, youth and glamour. The creation of a kind of fake person, who often has no particular skill other than presenting themselves as a look-at-me package. This can very often turn toxic, as we have seen with many celebs on our screens.
Therefore I think this book is a timely reminder of that fact and is therefore a worthwhile read.
