Thank you to Readers First for an opportunity to read this ARC of Let's Pretend.
When I read the first look, I was looking forward to reading the rest of the book.
Unfortunately though, it's taken me 5 days to read to page 120, and I've now decided to stop there.
Whilst the blurb sounds promising, and the first part is alright, it just drags from there, and I honestly don't care to know how Adam ends up dead in the swimming pool.
I did like the idea of the faux releationship between Adam and Lily, to keep up appearances, and to which benefited them both in different ways. It could've been a lot more fun to read about though, had it not just been based around Adam being a raging coke head, and Lily a bulimic, controlled by her 'momager', who is desperate for Adam to have the same feelings as her.
The rest of the characters are just as unlikeable, with their pompous attitudes.
