After more than a hundred years of history, we all know now that the sparkle of celebrity is a surface covering for the gritty underworld that it hides. This book tries in with deserved life of parties and glam that we all think being a star invovles, and touches on the rotten core of the world of make believe. In order to get herself better known, protagnost Lily is seen on the arm of Adam Harker, an old aquientace from stage school. However, when Lily finds Adam dead reality sets in and Lily must discover what happened while putting herself in danger as she discovers hidden secrets of the rich and famous. Aspiring actress/star playing detective was a great premise for the story, as was the peeling away the layers of glitter that come with stardom and revealing the truly rotten core that is hidden from the public. A great style of writing and an unusual plot, I enjoyed the story immensely.
