The concept of looking at how fame affects people and how it’s like living the not so glamorous life of celebrity is already a extremely exiting story but when you add in the mystery of who murdered a character your kept guessing on your feet waiting for and trying to work out who did it alongside the main character. At first this felt like a Taylor Jenkins Reid novel with the whole premise of exploring stardom and with the toxic male protagonist your happy to see the guy dead but then that causes problems for the protagonist as she tries to find out what exactly happened to him. Along the way the protagonist grows and develops as person while miraculously figuring out things no one else would have thought of. Would recommend if you enjoy mystery books with a twist and an Taylor Jenkins Reid fans looking to branch out into a different genre.
