This book intrigues me right away, and I'm curious to find out what will happen to the characters next. Setting up a contract to advance one's profession is an excellent place to start. The fact that the eventually revealed truths are not ideal is unsettling. My first impression of the female lead character is relatable and generally this story continues with the idea that people want to be successful and admired, no matter the cost. It also demonstrates that you never really know people and what happens behind closed doors.
