I so wanted to like this book I went in really ready to enjoy it, but sadly it fell hugely flat. This author is clearly aiming for the American market that's where she wants her books to end up hence all the Americanisms in the text, it was hugely annoying. The characters were nothing more than lay-about drug addicts. Funnily enough they're called 'actors' but they really don't seem to do much acting at all. And the constant usage of the word 'momager' (the biggest Americanism of the lot) meant that I had to read this book in fits and starts, because it would only hold your interest for a minute or two before you would either get really fed up with the language or just really bored by the plot and the one dimensional characters. This book was a massive miss and I guess I would say the thing I'm most grateful for is that I didn't have to buy it. Because I would have been so disappointed.
