I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of the cover, it didn't really draw me in and looked like one of those boring romance novels. Clearly I shouldn't have judged it by it's cover as it's definitely not that!
I prefer a softcover book as the pages have a better floppy feel, but this hardcover was lovely, not too heavy and the pages flapped about nicely.
The story itself eases you in, it gets you acclimatised to Lily's world quickly before the events that unfold so it's easy reading and not to taxing.
I ended up getting hooked and finishing the entire book within about 48 hours it was so good. The plot is great and easy to follow, but still had lots of turns I was never expecting, and another right when you think it's ending too!
