I was genuinely so thrilled to receive a copy of this book because it a) is a thriller which is my favourite and b) it’s showing the underbelly of celebrity lifestyle.
Centring around Lily Thane, she oozes desperation. She’s a struggling thirtyplus actress but more importantly, her friend and fellow stage school friend is about to make it big. Like really big. There’s one issue: he needs an appropriate red carpet worthy leading lady. Lily is just the lady.
However, as with most celebrities, all with Adam is not as it seems. There’s a dark and menacing side to him with secrets at every turn. They perfect fake romance soon turns into something sour and toxic.
