This novel is about the behind-the-scenes of fame and celebrities. From the start, we are introduced to this world of partying and drugs, where everyone is focused on making sure they have a good reputation. The main character - Lily Thane - is a former child actress who fakes a relationship with her old school acquaintance - Adam Harker - for the red carpet. However, it turns into a mystery when Adam is soon found dead in a swimming pool.
This did not seem like a very carefully planned book, and it almost felt to me that the author was confused with the arrangement of the plot. It started off very slow and the ending could have been a lot better too as all the various segments of the story did not come together well. Being a mystery/thriller novel, it should not have been that obvious as to who the murderer could be and I found this a generally boring read.
