At first glance, this looks like fairly typical, light and frothy escapism (not that there's anything wrong with a bit of that!). What I found most intriguing, though, was the tantalising allusion to "every teenage girl's worst nightmare". I know what this might be, but there again, a whole range of scenarios would fit the description equally well. What is it she faces? Why does she have nobody to turn to?

I also like the hints that the central protagonist is a bit different in some way and again, questions are just screaming to be answered here! Why is she different? What problems does this cause and how does (or doesn’t!) she overcome them?

Questions to be answered and a quirky character - sounds a promising brew!
