I think this is an authentic relatable YA true to life story
I loved the cover as it's current and appealing to YA. Working closely with teens, I can tell from this first impression that girls will really enjoy and be able to relate to this book as it echoes their own experiences.
Reading about Lauren and Steph makes me think how closely they relate to tales told to me by some of my students. They're rebellious, dramatic and pretend not to care about their friendships and relationships.
I actually felt sorry for poor Lauren and her far from perfect relationship with her boyfriend, Justin. Their physical relationship isn't satisfying without a more emotional connection. It's all about the hormones!
I would really enjoy reading the rest of the book.
