Found the cover to be really clever and nice to be a little different from so many others around nowadays! But I was definitely more interested once I started reading and Mallory Towers was mentioned! Any link to my reading past gets my attention and I found the issues Lauren was going through really struck a chord with me and brought all those teenage years back like they were only yesterday! She was trying to be different and realising she could make life easier for herself by being the same. Loved the use of language, the swearing in the first pages is just the right amount, and the situations were all so realistic that I was just really sympathetic to all Lauren was going through
