Absolutely loved this!

Most of the beginning is about a teenage girl that goes to an all girls school but doesn't feel like she fits in as she isn't like all the other girls. She doesn't care about the make-up and the fashion. She has a small number of friends but even then doesn't feel like she does. As the story goes on you stat to learn about her previous friendships and what happened to make them slowly fall apart. I honestly felt initially that this was more of a young adult story (late teens - early twenties based on the sexual content)

Claire Hennessy touches on a very sore subject in Ireland regarding abortion and women that find themselves in a situation of an unwanted pregnancy. How they are given misinformation when asked about their options. She also portrays how women feel in these situations. Especially young women and teenagers. The feelings that her main character goes through are heartbreaking.

I had no idea that the story line was going to head this way until it actually did. I am fortunate enough to have never been in a situation like her young character but this is so well written that I began to feel like I was going through it with her.

The main lesson I believe everyone will take away from this is that no matter what you are going through, no matter how you think people will react and no matter what your friends and family are going through themselves.....always talk to someone. You are never alone in life. And no young person should ever feel like they have to make life changing decisions alone.
