In all honesty, when I received this book from the library, I groaned and complained to my family about the name. Once I finished, I understood what she meant.
The context of the book was controversial, and incredibly informative when discussing the misogynist standards that occur in Ireland. Lauren, our protagonist, takes us through the book chapter by chapter, and I appreciate her light wit and sarcastic humour to get us through the dark and light times in the book. The context is interesting and definitely worth a read, however many readers might find some of Lauren's views upsetting, due to the fact that she is quite problematic at times.

The writing style is colloquial and easy to relate to, which is good in some way; don't get this book if you are looking for something intellectually stimulating, though.

Great book, despite some of it's flaws! Recommended if you're looking for some thought-provoking discussions.
