Just the opening chapter is both thrilling and terrifying, simple real-world scenario and an abducted child.

Whilst the blurb gave away this would happen, the suddenness of it, and the way the author has managed to convey a real sense of panic and setting, I really felt I was in that market place.

From the blurb and the first impression this novel seems like it has the potential to be a great thriller, and I'm already impressed with the style and tone of the writing, it immediately draws the reader in and connects them with Marin.

My only slight concern is so much of the plot is revealed in the blurb and opening pages, I hope the author has written in some good twists and keeps up the standards.
