This was brilliant. I was thoroughly gripped by the first look. All of Marin's emotions in the market from stress at Christmas shopping, to fear when she realised Sebastian had gone consumed me. I don't have kids so I can't truly imagine what losing one would be like but the writing lends itself well to giving you a glimpse of what it might be like.
Marin in present day is interesting, and so is the relationship with her husband. He's away on business but she has no idea where and when he'll be back. From the blurb, we know he's having an affair - I'd be interested to see where this goes.
Overall, this is a gripping start and I'd love to read this book.
