I already knew I was going to like this book from the blurb but I was completely absorbed when it came to the sample! It didn't take long for me to get hooked in by the premise of a tragedy happening to a seemingly perfect family.
I love love love tense thrillers that centre around real world events and this novel fits every criteria! The characters are beginning to develop nicely; we get a true insight into Marin's perspective in the first two chapters and I can't wait to find out what she does to cope with the loss of Sebastian. The description of her internal thoughts after he was abducted was so vivid.
The cover is also eye catching with the bold colours and mysterious forest in the background. The title stands out amongst the scene and I'd be absolutely compelled to pick this up in a book store.
