The first couple of chapters of this book really draws the reader. You know the kid is going to go missing, so you're quickly reading waiting for that to happen. The story then flashed forward several months, and we see that Marin is a successful, put together woman who is (for obvious reasons) still struggling to deal with her son's disappearance. At the moment, I'm desperate to see what happens from here.
