This was a middle of the road first look. The writing was fine, and the characters were engaging enough, but it was lacking something. I wanted more of a spark, to feel something for Marin and Derek, but I found them to be a little flat for my taste. It's difficult to judge a book with so little to go on, but from the first few pages, I think I'll give this one a miss.
