This book starts well, giving background to the current situation of a couple with a missing (kidnapped) child, and to how the mother is coping, although the first impression doesn't give much information about the father. It is well structured and written, but not for me - I find it too depressing to read about missing children and marriages falling apart (although maybe the little boy turns up in the end and the marriage is saved?!)
