From the get go I was hooked by this book and the reviews of the book were all completely right the novel grid you as you realise Marins son has been kidnapped as the story develops you learn more about Derek and Marin and their relationship and how it affects their marriage.
It is a very real depiction full of raw emotions and how everyone becomes intertwined in the loss of a child and the resilience to never give up hope.
The ending had a great twist and something that I didn’t see coming until the very last couple of chapters with secrets and revelations being made.
The writing style was brilliant easy to follow even tho it was told from Marins and Mckenzie’s point of view throughout.
This book would definitely make me reach out to read further stories by the other as it was thoroughly enjoyable and something that I was unable to put down. Great book!
