The beginning starts like every other family outing to get last minute gifts but ends in tragedy when Marin's son goes missing. The subject matter hits close to home as it could happen to anyone, you take your eyes off your child for a few seconds and that is all it takes for your life to forever change. The story follows Marin and how she copes, well doesn't, as she lives day to day but just existing in a fragile state.
The story hooks you in as you want to see what happens to the couple as they adjust to life without their only son. The book takes twists and turns and really has you engrossed from the first page. The book was so hard to put down as it really has you on the edge of your seat with the characters and the secrets they keep. Definitely worth a read.
