After reading Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier in the summer last year I couldn't wait to read this book and it didn't disappoint! It was so good, just so good. To be honest it was completely different to what I expected it to be, I thought it was going to be an edge of your seat thriller but it wasn't, it was a slow burn mystery with a big twist at the end but oh my goodness it was amazing! It didn't need to be an edge of your seat thriller to be thrilling. Trust me it worked better this way.
I love Hillier's writing style, it really sucks you in and keeps you interested; she is a fantastic storyteller. This book left me utterly floored in places and I couldn't help but inhale this book. The characters lives were so engrossing and I really didn't guess the twist at all.
As the secrets start coming out of the woodwork the book just keeps getting better and better. Highly recommend and I can't wait to read more by this author.
