Little Secrets is the tale of a parent's worst nightmare. Whilst out shopping Marin's son goes missing and we're thrust into the turmoil that follows as she and her husband try to cope with the grief of losing a child.
The characters are developed in such a sensitive way that you really feel the pain, heartache and anguish they feel every day as they struggle to find their own ways to cope with their loss.
As Marin's world spirals out of control, she makes a decision that, to me, was pretty far fetched but, putting that aside, the twists and turns that followed had me hooked until the end.
As far as domestic thrillers go this was intense and emotional. For me the descriptions around Marin's support network made her suffering all the more real and you craved a positive outcome throughout.
