Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. I like that the book is written from Marin and McKenzi Li's perspectives and Derrek's version of events is pretty much irrelevant to the story. Being about a missing child some parts of the book are difficult to read as a parent but Marin's pain and the range of emotions experienced by the parents of missing children is really well written. I like that the book explores the fine line between love and hate, even to the point that Marin and McKenzi are not really very likeable characters and make very questionable choices yet I could still sympathise with them and want everything to work out for them. There are some amazing twists in the story and a few interesting side stories. I have already recommended this for others to read.
