Live A Little is more than a summer read. It follows the story of two sisters who are total opposites and have drifted apart, so just before Lottie’s wedding to (dull) Dean they embark upon a road trip where Lottie has to do everything her sister wants. However it delves into some serious topics along the su such as grief, domestic abuse, pregnancy.
Both of the sisters struggle with the idea of their futures and the well developed character of Spike tests both of them.
However, some of this story requires you to suspend your disbelief and some scenes just felt pointless or dragged out.
The sisters were unlikeable characters but the author had crafted them in order to give them redeeming qualities and thus were interest to read and learn about.
