This is a story of 2 sisters who depart on a road trip across America after they had drifted apart from each other since the death of their older sister. Tina is carefree and lives her life to the fullest, trying not to take things too seriously or plan the future too much. Lottie, on the other hand, likes planning and following the rules. This is about to change when she agrees to do anything Tina says whilst on the trip.

It is a great story about sisterly love and how blood is thicker than water. There were sad elements to the story which I was expecting as the blurb is open about the death of their sister. However, the sadness is outweighed by funny comments that appear throughout the book.

I really liked the idea of the American road trip as this is something I would like to do myself. I thought the characters were good however I unfortunately didn't really connect with any of them and thought some elements of the story were very far fetched.

Despite all this I loved how the story showed how different sisters can be whilst also having a unique and unbreakable bond. This is something I can relate to, having an older sister myself. I also think that despite the slightly unbelievable storyline, I thought the story was funny, enjoyable and exactly what you want from a summer read.
