This book tells the story of two sisters Lottie and Tina who embark upon a road trip to lay their sister ashes to rest and to spend some time together before Lottie gets married to her long-term partner Dean.

I thought this book was going to have a Thelma & Louise exciting road trip vibe to it but instead I struggled to find much interest in either character or their road trip antics for at least half of the book.

I did enjoy reading about the bond the three sisters had when they were younger and how they took care of each other growing up in a very turbulent household.

I don’t have siblings and it was really emotional to read of their older sister’s death and what had led to such an outcome and the guilt both sisters still carried with them , feeling that they both could of done more to save her.

Neither main character was very relatable or likeable and some of their behaviours seemed to be what you would expect from someone in their early twenties rather than a decade older and certain things happened that I would never even forgive a friend for doing let alone a relative.

Some plotlines were just completely unnecessary and far fetched and it took away from the more emotional parts of the story.

A decent enough read for those that like a descriptive road trip story or for anyone that can relate to sibling squabbles and rivalry but sadly not the fun journey I was hoping to go on with this book.
