This is a modern romance story, starring two sisters who don’t get each other. Live a little is an easy to read, funny but emotional book.
I had a love-hate relationship with both sisters; Lottie and Tina, and found myself constantly taking switching whose side I was on. Their characters were written really well which made the story more relatable; especially if you have a sister. I also saw elements of myself in both sister, Tina who is care-free and spontaneous but also sometimes hard-headed and overbearing, and Lottie who puts a lot of pressure on herself and makes sacrifices for others.
Live a little has a lovely flow to it and the plot is easy to follow. The writing style is simple but not boring to read. It had a good balance of humour and sadness, and I found the story quite thought provoking. I was left questioning my relationships with people and the choices I have made.
